The Heat is on for the Manufacturing Industry

Global Futurist and Keynote Speaker Jack Uldrich

Futurist and founder of the School of Unlearning Jack Uldrich to Speak in New Orleans to leading Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Manufacturer on March 16.

Tomorrow, in New Orleans, Global futurist and keynote speaker Jack Uldrich will address a leading international HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) manufacturing company.

His presentation will focus on things heating up for the industry regarding technological advances. Uldrich says manufacturers can start future proofing themselves by embracing a variety of trends like the “Internet of Things,” Big Data, 3D manufacturing, nanotechnology, robotics, radio frequency identification (RFID Technology), social networking, and wearable technology.

"If you want to stay on the right side of the future, the first thing to do is to acknowledge that the future will be different-perhaps radically different-than the present. "

A firm believer that these trends are already transforming the Industry, Uldrich will place emphasis on helping his audience think more strategically about positioning their business for the future.

Uldrich believes that humility, ambiguity, and "asking better question" can provide greater confidence in shaping the future. With that in mind, he actively encourages his clients toward tangible actions—including taking a “think week,” and finding a “reverse mentor," which he portends can be game-changers regarding the future-proofing of any industry.

"If you want to stay on the right side of the future," says Uldrich, "the first thing to do is to acknowledge that the future will be different–perhaps radically different–than the present."

Jack Uldrich travels the world speaking on future trends, emerging technologies, innovation change management, and leadership. His manufacturing clients include the Honeywell, Emerson Global Users Group, ABB, Precision Metal-forming Association (PMA), Stiles, Siemens, the IBD, and the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI.)

He is also the author of 11 books, including the award-winning bestsellers: The Next Big Thing is Really Small: How Nanotechnology Will Change the Future of Your Business. His most recent book is Foresight 20/20: A Futurist Explores the Trends Transforming Tomorrow.
